In very small increments, I've been starting a tapestry. Above you can see some of the many string heddles I had to make to lift the warp.

Here they are attached to the warp bars, which I guess could also be called the shafts of this simple loom.

And finally, here's the weaving so far. I'm going with a very simple design just to re-teach myself what I'm doing. I think I need some little tapestry tools to keep track of all those warp ends. Is wrapping them around cardboard trashy?
