2010 Begins

I've been having some success with my newest project, a rep weave table runner. I'm thinking that it will look different once it is no longer stretched on the loom.
I did experience some distractions in the last half of December. Including a trip to visit my amazing new niece:And a visit from one of my favorite people, the Great Lucy B:
But now that life is back to normal, I need to concentrate, because I recieved some awesome Christmas presents. Including a beautiful loom bench (given by my parents and assembled by my lovely and patient Gus):
And a tapestry loom from Gus!!!
I am very excited about the tapestry loom because I really enjoy weaving tapestry and have lots of great ideas for tapestries to weave. But I haven't done it since college because I know that it takes a lot of time and I don't want to clog up my loom with a tapestry that will take me a year to finish. But now I have this lovely thing that frees up my floor loom for regular projects while I take as long as I want on my tapestries. Yay!

  1. So does this mean I can have you make an epic tapestry of all my conquests and achievements? Something that will look great on the wall of my hall as I sit with my thanes and hounds.
