Tapestry Warping

Yesterday I spent a decent amount of time sitting on the floor of my "loom room" alternately untangling a mass of yarn and learning to warp my new tapestry loom.

A few years back, I went through a phase of buying stashes of yarn from strangers on craigslist. At the time I was unemployed and thought very little about the problems associated with driving to the home of a stranger and combing though her garage/attic/basement for cheap yarn. This crazy knot is the result of such a trip. I have no idea what it is made of (linen? straw?), but I have a ton of it in a lump on the floor of my closet. I figure that it should function well as the invisible yet sturdy warp for a few tapestries.
