Whale Inlay

This is the picture that Gus drew for me a while back. I transferred the outline to another piece of paper, cut it out, and pinned it under the cloth as I was weaving. Then I worked an inlay in a lighter blue to create the silhouette of the whale in the weaving. This went far quicker than I imagined.
The image ended up being reversed because I forgot that the "right" side of the cloth was facing the floor as I wove the the "wrong" side was facing me. But that's not a big deal. Just something to keep in mind if I were ever to use inlay to create letters or numbers.

Now I plan to embroider the details.
